The silence has been broken and MTV's powers-that-be officially announced this morning that they are moving forward with The City, a Hills spinoff centered around Whitney Port's exciting new life in Manhattan. Scheduled to premiere towards the start of '09, cameras have already begun following Whit as she navigates this brave new world, but not all by herself. She's spending lots of QT with a former BFF, a new love interest and... Diane Von Furstenberg! Whitney's landed a fabulous job - the one 'a million girls would die for' - with the global fashion icon.
As much as we'll miss Kelly Cutrone's subtle management skills, I'm totes looking forward to watching DVF's elegance in action. And who could this mystery boy be? Kiss the smooching dry spell g'bye, Whit Port!
